"OK, so this is just me again, but did Olivia enter the alter universe on the way to the meeting just before she almost collided with the car that came in from her right? Or, was she just so distracted that she didn't see the car? "i beleive she was in the midst of crossing over at that point... she doesnt seem to jus "walk thru" but ends up there gradually.. first teh car.. then the flashes in the elevarot 1 out of 1 found this valuable. i think she was in the alternate reality from the get-go, starting from when she hit that car. mena, or whatever her name is, is out of the country(opp. from where she was phoning olivia obviously), and then the elevator's load flickered about.i noticed the numbers skipped 13, perhaps irrelevant since some superstitious hotels do this as protocol, and since the elevator freakout happened at floor 14? or 15? yeah, haha, just a ponder. i hope she can make it back in the main reality beginning episode 1. Olivia's not stuck, IMO. Nina arranged a meeting with Bell and that's what happened.

Here's a thought...We just found out that Walter and Bell used LSD to "travel" between dimensions. They take it to the next step and travel through to the other dimension themselves, I'm assuming in a similar way in which Jones tried to travel through in the finale. We also find out that OUR world Peter is dead. Which leaves us to believe that OUR world Walter stole Peter from the other dimension. Now...if I were the other dimension Walter and my son was stolen from me, I wouldn't be happy about it. Especially knowing that Walter, as a person, is willing to go to such lengths to get his son back as to steal him from himself, in a different dimension. Now I'm really going to go out on a limb here and suggest...what if this war that is coming is the indirect or direct result of Walter stealing Peter from his other dimensional self. Walter is an extremely powerful mind that appears to be at the head of scientific advancement in our world, who's to say that it's not the same in the other world. I don't think it's too outrageous to think that an other dimensional Walter hellbent on seeking revenge spurns a war between the dimensions. What are you're thoughts? 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Peter being from the alt universe was hinted throughout the series. Walter was playing with toys he said where Peter's but Peter said they were Walter's Toys in one episode. Another was in Inner Child when Peter said he remember the GI Joe had a scarf on the opposite side. Too bad Mr. Jones died, wasn't expecting that. We can always get another Mr. Jones from the alt reality who can have beneficial purposes instead of destructive.

"In case you want to see a still of who was in the elevator with Olivia, here ya go:Thamks, I wanted to see that ! As for Peter beeing "stolen" frome the other dimension, how about this: Walter #1 goes to the other side and works with Walter #2 to find a way to "duplicate" things from one dimension to the other. So Walter did not "steal" Peter, he cloned him. Look at me, I've been against that "Peter is a clone" theory since day one and now I'm supporting it. My main bet altough is that the war is a results of Walter "stealing" Peter from the other side... 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"That's what I'm thinking, but who really knows? It could have been the car thing too though. Because, first of all, why else would the car have even been important? There's a reason for everything in this show, which means there was a reason for that car scene. Second of all, when she was waiting for Nina Sharp, the waitress said that she was "out of town." Which means she never went there to meet Nina and Nina already knew that. "I agree that there is some significance with the car. Things don't happen without a reason on this show. However - it does appear that Olivia transitioned to the alternate reality where William Bell is when she was in the elevator. And is Nina Sharpe there somewhere? The person on the phone told Olivia she was 'out of the country'. Here's another thought - a common science fiction theme holds that there are many alternate realities - some more divergent from ours than others so the potential is infinite. Maybe if the walls are thinning - people/things from more than one alternate reality could pass back and forth. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Ok, I swear that in one of the episodes earlier in the season Walter had a flashback and it showed multiple Peters lying in what looked like hospital beds. It was a quick flashback. I could have been seeing things (this show makes you really overanalyze things). Does anyone else remember this? Is Fringe season 1 going to be out on DVD anytime soon? I feel like I need to start at the beginning and watch all the episodes all over again. Especially since there was that huge break in the season!

"So did anyone get the glyph code for the finale? I only got the first 3 letters. 2 commercials Weren't preceeded by glyphs for some reason?"Agreed. I only got 3 letters as well... Need help from someone who DVR'd the episode. There were a handful of glyphs (2 or 3) that flashed by ultra-fast at the end of the preview for next season. Can someone check this out and see if they help make our word o' the week? Also loved the shout-out to the MD slogan: Olivia: So what can he do? Nina: What can't he do? I LOL'd. ( I hate that phrase, but in this case it's true!) Do you find this valuable? |

I wonder if the theory of alternative universes and Walter "taking" Peter from the other one might account for the fact that Peter calls him "Walter" rather than "Dad." (?)

Did anyone notice the blurry yet distinguishable picture of Jerry Garcia hanging on the wall of William Bell's office? LSD experiments, altered states...think J.J. may be a Dead fan...

Did you happen to look closely at the Obama paper. Obama has 2 boys instead of girls. WOW!!! Wonder what that Obama would be like as president. The potential change could mean a whole different personality.

First off, I think there are multiple realities and not just one. I think Observers travel between realities to keep space-time from unravelling. I also speculate that the whole purpose of the Observer is to try and get all the realities to line up at some point so they can all get merged into one reality. If you think about it, there has to be some point in infinite realities where everything is exactly the same. Wouldn't it be great if The Observers helped guide individual realities to the point where they could all merge? Also, there was no 13th floor on the elevator, it went from 12 to 14. OK ... so I feel like I was the one that took LSD since I am so wired with excitement (not literally people). I just loved this episode. First .. I think the observer took Walter to the alternate reality and the Walter we saw at the house is Walter#2. Walter was playing with a new coin that the observer gave him then all of the sudden it is old and tarnished. The reason he wanted to plug the hole was not so much to keep Mr. Smith from crossing over, as much as to keep the other Walter from getting back. Also, another reason that leads me to believe that this is not our Walter is because he leaves a note (something our Walter would not do ... nothing to do with him growing up). OK .. so ... I do agree that maybe Walter#2 is angry that Walter took Peter from him ... and it is Walter#2 who has been behind all of these crazy happenings. Ohhh and I think that when Olivia almost hit the other car she almost crashed with Olivia#2. I think Olivia#2 is now in our world. Funny how Nina was now the one who was 'on vacation' just like William Bell ... yeah .. I got confused ... it made it seem as if she was already in the alternate universe. My mind is raising at a thousand miles an hour .. I am going to see it again tonight. Do you find this valuable? |
