The tornado videos are actual footage linked from a weather-related site. They are the same tornado which took place in Parkersburg, Iowa. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

This is reminding me a lot of what Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails did before their album, Year Zero, came out. There were 'leaks' to made up sites, photos, audio, etc. that gave clues and hints of the backstory of the album. A lot of the pictures and sites had 'hidden images and clues' in them you had to find. It was interesting and well done......... as well, a bit creepy.

If you are interested in seeing the similarites I am talking about, go to:

The sheep are responding to harmonic sound waves, which has been a common theme in Walter and Dr. Bell's "fringe" research. There actually is scientific proof that radio frequency waves can be used to change human behavior. We will have to see if this plays out in future episodes. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Frequency waves are being transmitted via the buried artifacts. They are surfacing so that the frequency can be changed ( they are changing the pattern ). The mysterious bald man was using Fourier analysis to predict what the next thought would be. The other bad guy was obtaining a holographic read-out by utilizing a specific memory. In a holographic film plate, even a small piece contains the whole picture if broken into sections. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I thought the bald man (the observer) was using telepathy to read other's thoughts. While having a brain hardwired to perform Fourier analysis would be Fringe science for sure, it is my understanding that Fourier analysis is used to break down patterns not predict random events. What Peter said in the forest was definitely random. Fourier analysis could be used by the artifacts to predict when and where to surface next in order to monitor the Patten or some signal not yet discussed. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Hi there- soundwave13,
If the mysterious bald man is aware of the whole pattern, he would need to use Fourier analysis to isolate Peter's thoughts. What seems random is really just a portion of a much bigger pattern or design. The fact that they are calling him The Observer reinforces the notion of an advanced form of holographic technology being used. Perhaps he is able to view multiple layers of encoded information ( people included ) in terms of pure mathematical calculations. He seems to have been able to calculate the exact time it would take to eat the sandwich he ordered ( including an exact number of jalapenos ) and all the factors involved in it being made and served, down to the second. This is precision of a superhuman nature.

"......The fact that they are calling him The Observer reinforces the notion of an advanced form of holographic technology being used...."
Just to make a correction here. The reason they are calling his the observer was clearly pointed out in the room being used to study him. Agent Broyles says "He has been seen at every occurrence of the pattern, always just watching", "So we call him 'the observer'". (not exact quotes, but you get my point)

The name wasn't given to describe any elevated powers of observation, albeit he has them.

Hi M.F. Luder,
The man is a walking, talking Fourier analysis: He was eating 3 kinds of peppers- Fourier showed that representing a function by a trigonometric series greatly simplified the study of heat propogation...he is able to convert the sound frequencies of someone's voice into trigonometric series that accurately predict the next thought, move, etc...until he is on the same frequency.

Yes my friend, I never said any of that was false. I simply corrected you when you stated

"The fact that they are calling him The Observer reinforces the notion of an advanced form of holographic......"

You said "The Fact they are calling him reinforces the notion....", yet the Fact they are calling him that in no way reinforces any notion about his makeup or being, seeing as how he was named "the observer" before anyone had even met him, seen him do anything, or hear him speak, all they had were still photo's from scenes of pattern occurrences. Remember Broyles made it clear they knew nothing about him accept he seemed to be observing the pattern, hence the name.

Perhaps I jumped a little ahead...I strongly suspect that an advanced form of holographic technology is at play here. I did not mean to sound so defensive, humble apologies. There is a great deal that points in this direction, especially with the introduction of sound frequencies.

Could a holograph fire a weapon?
I propose The O is either a minion of the grim reaper or a time traveling agent of MD from the future keeping those responsible for the pattern alive enough to develop what they need. I also propose the pattern is not a pattern of cloning, but one of the pattern of death and what happens afterwards. Thoughts?
I am not a TV watcher, I hate Lost, I hated Alias. But I love this show! Funny, witty, smart...

"After looking at the case evidence video, I saw the first slide's numbers were actual coordinates of the cities: Cresco, Estherville, Carroll and Vinton. These cities form the corners of a golden rectangle. Also the last slide has an image of brail which translates to Parkersburg, a city in W. Virginia."
I didn't see any clues here but I thought this was quite interesting. I see FOX "Parkersburg" has a myspace page and look where's it's located... West Va.. pretty clever.... anyway.. like I said ..no clues .. sorry... here's the link: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=74171993

My mother wanted me to ask you guys if you have noticed that at commercial breaks where they show a leaf or an apple or some other type of object, why the hand they sometimes show has 5 fingers plus a thumb? She was curious as to if it has any meaning... all replies welcome! Do you find this valuable?

Yeah.. these have been out there for a while. All these images are called glyphs. Ther are possible clues to an online ARG (alternate reality game). Try searching the threads in this forum to see what other people may have come up with. There are alot different forums on the internet. But start here. Another good source to go to is www.fringepedia.net. You can read and catch up on alot of clues. The hand somehow was linked to a youtube video of a six figered man from India.. Lot of stuff out there. Good Luck.

There is no ledge if everyone has already filled in the hole.. I can't tell you how many times this has been mentioned, and argued, and argued against..

Try searching "clone" on the threads, you should come up with hundreds of hits..

Hey everyone! I just started watching this new show called Fringe, and I get the idea that it's full of puzzles and riddles and symbols and science fiction stuff! I was watching Battlestar Galactica when I switched channels and there it was. Has anyone noticed the symbols or that bald guy that appeared in that totally weird episode? Do you think he's an important part?

Hey 'MDinmypants'...that is probably the funniest screen name I've seen...hahaha!

Wondering if anyone has made comments to the fact that there is a direct link to the good doctor's comments to Peter about his 'not being fat' and the website for MD? On the MD website, if you go to the link for 'Our Company', then to 'Global Responsibility'...go down to 'Global Health', and click on Better Bodies Initiative and read. Pretty interesting that MD seems to have a heavy hand in eliminating childhood obesity...and that Walter thought his son would've been fat upon first seeing him after 17 years.
Sorry if this has been talked about...I didn't really search too long trying to find anything.

Thoughts???
