Famous experiment(s): the successful 1891 "Tesla Effect" demos in upstate New York; and the disasterous 1891 "Resonant Frequency" research in New York, NY (he nearly shook the building which housed his lab down). Technology (used/created): True inventor of Radio; the Tesla Coil; Wireless Electricity Delivery Systems; A/C (polyphase) current; Flourescent light tubes; early x-ray tube research. Most well-known for: A/C current; America's greatest electrical engineer Discoveries: Polyphase Electrical Current generation; That an ozone/nitrous acid complex causes damage to biological systems over-exposed to X-rays; the basic principles for RADAR and radio controlled craft and weapons. ginjerninja is correct. The only true "mad scientist" on the page is Mengele. The others should be removed, partiuclarly Tesla, who was better than Edison but lost the battle. However, you CAN add Dr. Sidney Gottlieb (born "Joseph Scheider") to your profiles. He was the person in the MK-ULTRA project of the CIA who oversaw giving LSD and other drugs to unwitting subjects. He also conceived of attempts to kill or poison various political figures of his day, including Castro and and Abdul Karim Qassim. If anyone out there knows the name of the scientist who was behind the project that infected unsuspecting people with syphilis (I think in the 1930's), feel free to volunteer his name as well. THOSE are the people who operate without moral constraints & therefore are mad scientists.

To say that Mr Tesla is a mad scientist is like saying Marconi invented radio. It's not true. Tesla is the man that created the world we live in today. Neon, wireless transmission not only radio waves, wireless everything, mobile phones etc. Pioneer in applications of x-rays. He was a genius. In all of his goals he wanted humanity to thrive and advance with the help of his revolutionary ideas and inventions. The majority of things in out technological society has roots in work he performed. More respect is comming for Tesla and his name is getting more and more press. History is a great thing to review. please review it and do not slander the greatest single mind human nature has ever had. Foget Einstein, he just re-worked others work "Ruđer Bošković". Tesla will be proven and respect will be given to his name. Once again please remove his name from mad scientists page.
I love fringe by the way. its getting much better.
