Character's backstory: Retired Colonel from the Marine Corps. Enlists Olivia into aiding his efforts to combat those behind The Pattern, despite her misgivings. By the end of the first episode, she had won his respect.
Connection to Nina Sharp is unclear as yet.

1. Theology...isn't really that odd. Who's to know for how long he's witnessed unnatural deaths? We really don't know his history. He too could have been through something at a much younger age. The study of Theology may have seemed a good thing to do.
2. As far as Scott, I'm not sure either! lol
3. Whether they mean anything or not...rule nothing out!

I was reading bios of the characters. Broyles went to the Uni of Maryland, with a B.A. in Theology........ isnt' that a bit odd for an FBI agent to be versed in?

Also saw that Scott went to college at Ohio state. He is 12 years older than Olivia (was I guess). Could he have learned about the testing there? He has degrees in poitical science and biology (of all things).

Just a few things I thought were instersting, whether they mean anything or not....
