Peter Bishop / Joshua Jackson
Fringe Cast Guide - FringeVITALS
Date of Birth: 10-18-1978
Occupation: Jack-of-all-trades
Specialty: Multilingual, IQ of 190.
Personality type: Peter is somewhat sarcastic and a bit dark at times, with some inherent trust issues. He can give a pretty good pep talk if he wants to. He's usually the first to object to a potentially dangerous situation, in addition to being the resident skeptic, but manages to keep a cool head in bad situations.

It appears that his unusually high IQ appears to hurt more than help.
Signature look: Incredulous frown; sheepish grin
Endearing trait(s): Sings his father to sleep; plays the piano
Annoying trait(s): Doesn't always believe in Fringe Science; antagonizes his father with instant skepticism inflated with sarcastic remarks,
Character's back story: He had a history of gambling leading to his debt to Big Eddy. Dropped out of high school around the time of his father's institutionalization. Has gone through a very random repertoire of jobs, including a professor after falsifying a degree from MIT.

Besides this, his past has been pretty cloudy, though he seems to have some medical condition worth noting which was not in his, or his father's, file.

Wild-Kat What's your guess as to Peter's background? (page: 1 2 3 4 5 ... last page) 185 May 13 2009, 10:42 AM EDT by alexanderpromothus

In episodes 1 and 2 so far, we now know that there's something funky about Peter's medical history. Also, in Episode 1, Dr. Bishop said something about him not being fat and then checked his eyes immediately after. Anybody have any guesses or predictions as to what Peter's background may be? Was the last seen in Episode 2 of the bodies related somehow?

blomidonpark Possible romantic interest in Olivia's sister? 16 May 5 2009, 1:52 PM EDT by thewhitewilsmith

If I'm any judge of body language, I would venture a guess that Rachel and Peter may have some attraction for each other. After all, she did just separate/divorce her partner. I think it would be interesting to see how it could play out. Rachel having two people in her life that could not share their own day-to-day lives with her. Olivia and Peter share secrets that Rachel can never know and Ella has already been placed in harms way once because of the nature of Fringe Divisions work.
A side note: this scenario could also be used to develop Walter's character even further. Meeting Ella and remembering his past with Peter (good and bad).

gorimjr Did Peter Do It? 12 May 5 2009, 8:45 AM EDT by gorimjr

In Ability, Olivia wasn't able to turn the lights off until he showed up. Was it really him who did it? Or them together?
I did some math, and when Olivia (Supposedly) got the drug, MD didn't exist. Thus, she couldn't have gotten the drug in the "trail". Peter has likely gotten the drug as well, if Walter and Bell designed it.
