| Theory Published: | October 2nd, 2008 |
| Theory confirmed or denied: | 1) The theory we published that Olivia's "shared dream state" with Agent Scott was confirmed on 10/14/2008 by Walter Bishop in Episode 5 "Power Hungry" at the end of the episode. At the end of Ep.5 Walter had a conversation with Olivia stating he believed that when she was in the shared dream state, she awoke without completely severing the connection, and she contained his thoughts, memories, emotions and so on. |
| Your Name: PinkSodaPop | Your Comment: I have alot of thoughts swimming around my brain about her, her unknown past, her interactions with Peter, and Walter. I can't help but think there is something mind blowing in her past that will surface in the story in the distant future. I think that some of Olivia's past will be key to understanding the ultimate destination that this story is leading us to. I can't shake the desire to see that she is a bigger part of something along with Peter... much more than any of us expect! --- and no I don't want them to 'hook up' as someone said once... haha! --- Imaginative and wonderful this show is! I enjoy the complexity of these characters...and especially what Agent Dunham brings to this mysterious journey. FRINGE Rocks! |
| Your Name: PrettiBetti76 | Your Comment: I think there is definitely a deeper connection between Peter, Olivia and Walter. I don't think its a coincidence that they are all working together. I believe that Olivia was chosen for this assignment because she may possess intelligence that has been "enhanced" in some way. I also think that Broyles is testing Olivia to see just how deep her skills and intelligence goes. He obviously knew that ignoring her in the beginning would push her to demand to be included which is exactly what he wanted. At times its as if he has trigger words that put her in motion...just a theory! I think was necessary to bring Olivia on board because he or "they" knew of the situation brewing and the possible dormant skills that Olivia possessed. I think it was also intended for Olivia to fall in love with John and for him to tell her he loved her at that time. I would venture to say that John is really a clone...yes I know that's far fetched! Anyway this relates to Olivia because "they" needed something to push Olivia to dig deeper...as they knew she has the capability to do. When John died in her arms, he told her to ask her self why Broyles sent her... Broyles knew she could do it. Many times he commented on quickly she was able uncover clues. He also seemed impressed by her skill and ability as if she was exceeding expectations. On a side note, I don't think John was working for the bad guys, I think he is a "tool" in this great mystery. He flirted with her from the day they met in the meeting...he was placed as her partner for a reason. I'm still trying to figure out why his mom was watching Olivia so closely at the memorial service??? The other thing that really caught my attention was when Olivia told Peter that since the age of 8 she knew she wanted to be a cop...not sure what to do with that comment just yet; it may have had more to do with Peter's response about wanting to be a dinosaur than with Olivia's comment. |
| Your Name: Ediiiboiii | Your Comment: Olivia is a major character in this mystery called "Fringe", she brings a certain "something" I can't desifer, but I can tell is something bigger than any other character. I don't know if it's her agent toughness mixed with the "girl nextdoor vulnerability" that has me hooked to her character and I'm gay ....... so explain that one writers !!! lol !!!. Olivia makes us identify with her because her vulnerability .............. Remember the episode where John was killed and Walter asked Olivia to do the experiment in the tank to get into John's mind, Walter didn't have to work hard in convincing her to agree with the experiment. That's the vulnerability we felt in love about Olivia. |
| Your Name: Dr._Bishop | Your Comment: Olivia has a childhood tie to organizations involved in The Pattern. In the brain connection to Agent Scott, she sees her Uncle's kayak which has the A symbol of Esterbrook's lapel pin and the red and green dots that come up in many places. In her birthday story we learn she has a step father who thinks the mother is cheating on him. Perhaps Olivia born out of wedlock, even as the result of some kind of experiment and the step father was paranoid that his wife continued to be a floozy. Who is Olivia's uncle? Perhaps it's William Bell or Walter Bishop. She shares many traits with Peter Bishop - they could be step siblings as the result of the early experiments. One of the key elements here is that each character has information they withold from the others. If you've followed Lost, it's an essential ingredient of a JJ Abrams story. Peter Bishop is hiding things about his past activities, Walter is hiding "genetic" secrets about Peter. Olivia doesn't realize tha the kayak may be important. Scott was carrying on secret investigation. Broyles isn't telling Olivia about all the cases. I can go on and on. |
