In the first comic Walter talks with William about the soul. In the previous episode Walter has a long discussion with the ZFT scientist about the soul. Connection?

The Golden Bird is on the necklace worn by Walter Bishop, hidden underneath his shirt. The memory of the Golden Bird and a faceless man seems to have been passed from the marked mouse to William Bell.
What could this symbolize? There are two possible leads: 1) It may refer to the Brothers Grimm fairy tale "The Golden Bird." 2) The symbol of the bird looks exactly like the bird on the Seal of the President of the United States.

Prior to the accident, and before any significant amount of LSD/phenobarbital can be transferred, William suddenly turns around and asks: "Did that wall just move?" Is it possible something other than a slight hallucination happened?
