TERM/ACRONYM DEFINITION
3G1R: Refers to three(3) green dots and one(1) red dot symbol; known appearances are: the kayak in Olivia Dunham's shared dream state wih John Scott; the display on the Observer's binoculars, the cap of TPG member John Moseley; suggested rank insignia in the TPG; significance remains unknown.
Beacon, The: A device composed of solid Iridium (a metal used by Dr. Walter Bishop in Episode 1.02 that allows the brain to pick up signals directly from The Ghost Network); origin is unknown; vibrates at 2 MHz and 4 MHz; seemingly burrows through the ground when activated just before disappearing, causes considerable surface damage upon arrival; purpose is unknown.
Ghost Network, The:
A network of over-the-air brain communication between operatives of TPG; technology originally developed by Dr. Walter Bishop and Dr. William Bell; shutdown after being compromised by Olivia Dunham's team.
MD: Massive Dynamic; a global company founded by Dr. William Bell, former lab partner of Dr. Walter Bishop; responsible for many scientific breakthroughs and technologies used in the Pattern cases invesigated by the FBI.
Observer, The: A non-aging, robotic-like humanoid with no hair and no taste introduced in Episode 1.04; sent by POG to observe the arrival and departure of the beacon; saved Walter and Peter Bishop's life after a car accident; recruited Walter to hide the beacon from TPG; has telepathic abilities.
POG: Pattern Observation Group; theorized to be a future group diametrically opposed to TPG and to which the Observer reports.
Rogue, The:
a.k.a. John Moseley; wanted for double homicide in Seattle; sent by TPG to retrieve the beacon; tortured Peter Bishop in Episode 1.04; wore a cap with 3G1R; killed by Agent Dunham.
TPG:
The Pattern Group; theorized to be the group behind fringe experiments around the world either causing the Pattern or controlled by the Pattern.
Amber Disc, The:
An encrypted data storage device theorized to contain information about TPG; there are multiple discs
