WHO?: Case 91
WHAT?: Evidence 1, 2, and 3
WHEN?: Summer 2008
WHERE?: GPS coordinates for Cresco, Estherville, Carroll, and Vinton: All cities in Iowa. Viewed on a map, they form a rough square. Related to the sheep in evidence 2? Evidence 3 shows the bottom half of this square. You can see the city names of Vinton and Carroll, along with the formula (a+b)/a = a/b . There is also a "b" to one side of the square, indicating that the b in the formula equates to the length of that side of the square.

WHO?: Case 91
WHAT?: Evidence 7 & 8
WHEN?:05/25/08
WHERE?: The clue is braille for Parkersburg. There is a Parkersburg, Iowa that is NW of Waterloo in the SouthEast area of the rectangle formed by Cresco, Estherville, Carroll, and Vinton, Iowa. There is a dot in the braille that is a link to videos of tornadoes in the Waterloo/Parkersburg area. If you go up a directory the folder is labeled 0525 for the date. The GPS coordinates of Parkersburg are 42.574419, -92.786729 EDIT: I did some digging at imaginetheimpossiblilities.com. I found some extra, "Hidden" pages that can be accessed by removing the .htm from the URL, and by navigating the directory. Apparently, each piece of evidence is part of the parent directory for the next. Interesting. I also found evidence #5, here: http://imaginetheimpossibilities.com/77203/09179/80576/28621/35448.htm. It was in the same directory as evidence #4. I have been unable, to access Evidence #1, as it seems the directory chain ends at 2, and if you try to remove the numbers, you get redirected right back. Intriguing. It's also important to note the triangle with the equation that appears multiple times within a triangle. Also, a moving rectangular shape appears at the beginning of the video. On evidence #4, the equation simplifies to a^2=ab+b^2 (Note: ^2 means squared. R seems that if someone looked up the distance between Carroll and the town next it (not vinton), and if we substituted the distance for b, we could solve for a, providing a valuable clue, maybe. Think Weffriddles, everyone. RE EDIT BY PFHORTIPFHY: I was stupid, I think I did that calculation wrong. It seems like it should be simple distribution, but I don't know how to deal with (b^2+ab-a^2)=0. If it was (b^2-ab+a^2) or (b^2+ab+a^2) then i would know.
WHY?:Is there a link between Parkersburg and the 4 towns?

WHO?: Peter Bishop
WHAT?: Genetic or chemical alteration
WHEN?:When he first meets his father and in the car during the FBI raid
WHERE?:
WHY?:When Peter first sees his father, Walter Bishop, Walter comments that he isn't fat. He then proceeds to grab Peter's head and check the dilation of his pupils. In the car during the FBI raid on Steigs lab he says he wants to check Peter's blood pressure and comments that his skin tone makes him think he has arterial hypertension. Combine these things with the fact that Walter is a genius and his son an even bigger genius and you get the theory that Walter did something to Peter when he was young, possibly in the fetus stage that would emerge at a specific point in Peter's life based on how many chemical reactions his body has performed at that point. Since he's not fat his body has a higher metabolism and whatever was done will emerge sooner and possibly more drastically with less time for Peter to adapt to it rather than a gradual emergence. Hence the pupil checking and the desire to check blood pressure. Walter wanted to know how long until whatever he did emerged. Since Peter has an incredibly high IQ whatever emerges will probably be a mental ability of some sort.

WHO?: Peter
WHAT?: His childhood
WHEN?: Walter tries to get Peter to sing it to him, saying it is from a guy in the mental institution. When Peter does sing it, the line "Life is but a dream" is juxtaposed to Peter in what looks to be an incubator. Walter later alludes to Peter's strange medical history. Is it possible that Peter's "life" and memories of childhood are really just a dream? That means that just as Walter's collegue had a "son" perhaps Walter did in a similar way?
Remember when there was something about 'cloning'? End of eps in beginning of series they showed 3 beings side by side but very hard to see them? Middle one or possibly all 3 looked like they could have been Peter. Is Peter a clone? a creation of Walter's?
WHERE?: When Walter and Peter are in their room.
WHY?: Life is but a dream...

(a+b)/a=a/b is known as the "Golden Ratio" also represented by the greek letter Phi which is seen on the back of the frog. The rectangle on the seahorse is also a depiction of the Golden Ratio. Based on the clue above, the GPS coordinates of the cities in Iowa create the rectangle.

WHAT?: Was Walter concerned for Peter's health when he reunited with him because Peter was a test subject for the teleporter when he was a child? Perhaps the radical changes done to DNA during the teleportation are much easier on a child's younger cells. Survivability of the teleporation device is inversely proportional to the Hayflick limit?
Will Peter eventually manifest 'abilities' when a predetermined event happens or perhaps when given some sort of catalyst from Walter?
WHEN?:Peter's early childhood

Hymenoptera More Quantum Mechanics: William Bell named after John S. Bell? 5 Jun 14 2009, 11:05 PM EDT by techberto
Hymenoptera
Thread started: Nov 7 2008, 1:11 PM EST  Watch
(FYI: I originally started posting on this site as roystonlodge, but I changed my username to something more "Fringy". Just to avoid confusion.) I'm quite enamoured with the idea that Quantum Mechanics will become an important driver of future story-lines, with the writers making connections between Quantum Mechanics, Fibonacci numbers, and "paranormal" phenomena. So far in the show (AFAIK) I've only seen two (tenuous) references to Quantum Mechanics - Claus Penrose (possibly named after phycisist Roger Penrose) and The Observer (who may be influencing events simply by observing them). Maybe there's a third (tenuous) connection - Could William Bell be named after physicist John Stewart Bell? His work involved pairs of quantum particles that continue to instantly influence each other regardless of how far apart they are from each other, apparently communicating with each other faster than the speed of light. He also objected to the way Quantum Mechanics depends on the concept of 'measurement'. If you combine Fibonacci numbers with the concepts that originate from John S. Bell and also with concepts from Roger Penrose, you start to get really weird questions that make great fodder for a paranormal sci-fi series like "Fringe". Fibonacci numbers and Quantum Mechanics are related in that they explore how "information" can be an observable "thing" (for want of a better term) in the natural world, with implications for stuff like the true nature of human consciousness and free will, paranormal abilities like telepathy, and theories that the universe itself is "intelligent" or "god-like". (FYI: I did REALLY poorly in science class, so much of the info I'm getting is from Wikipedia. I'm not suggesting that quantum physics ACTUALLY explains paranormal phenomana. I'm just speculating on how certain ideas in physics MAY be influencing the Fringe writers.)

I used Google Earth to plot the 5 towns Estherville, Cresco, Carroll, Vinton, and Parkersberg. After drawing a line connecting the first four in the shape of a rectangle (like shown in evidence #03), I then estimated the length of side 'b'. Using the Golden Ratio formula (a+b)/a=a/b I found that it was the makings of a Golden Rectangle, from which you can create a golden spiral.

Do you find this valuable?

Did anyone else notice this - in ep.9 - The Dreamscape? When Ageny Dunham is searching the house of the guy that jumps through the window of the Massive Dynamic building, she finds an airplane ticket. Notice the name of the airline company? Oceanic!

Also, Lance Reddick (aka Phillip Broyles) is in both series. Coincidence?

How cool would it be for both series to be resolved together in the same finale!
