 Randy Dancik, one patient at Latchmere, Timur Vasiliev, five unnamed patients four years ago
Method(s) used to solve:
 Walter figures out a complex equation, blackboards and Tinkertoys. Timur contains the entity using electrical shock to disturb the host body.
Technology used:
 Tinkertoys to form the genomes
New clues/patterns: Russians have a Fringe Science division, the CIA appears to be working with them
Possible suspects/tie-ins:
CIA not sharing information they have gathered.

UNANSWERED QUESTIONS & PLOT DANGLERS

  • What does this have to do with the Pattern, the other dimension, ZFT, and Massive Dynamic?

  • Is the cosmonaut really back in space and did the shadow go with him?

  • Are the CIA cooperating willingly with the Russian Fringe division?

  • The little girl says, "There was a man, a shadow man, but he dissapeared".....but her TV screen is still all static like when the shadow entity was in someone's room. So is he in the girl or the cosmonaut?

  • CIA has more power than the Senate committee that gives it it's funding?
  • Randy confronts the entity as it leaps at him and he panics. However, when his corpse is found, he's seated peacefully on the couch.
  • Timur is turned into ash but the weight of the cell phone in his hand doesn't break through his hand and fall to the floor.

  • When the little girl said there had been a shadow man in the room but he was gone. Is he still in the cosmonaut or the little girl??
EPISODE TRIVIA

  • Walter still has his thing for sweets, requested licorice and milk shakes

  • This case ended Broyles' marriage due to his obsession with it.

  • The glyphs spell "Dejavu."

  • The Observer can be seen at the airport to Broyles' rigth as he talks to Olivia on the phone.

Credits list her as "Diana Broyles", so it implies that she has not remarried.
Credits list "Rob" (as "Phil" Broyles called him at Diana's door) as "Wife's Boyfriend".

1) So, Phillip and Diana are separated, not divorced?

2) Does this open the possibility of a reconciliation,
especially now that he closed "that case",
"the one four years ago", that caused her to split?
