UNANSWERED QUESTIONS & PLOT DANGLERS

  • Was Hughes part of a conspiracy or did he develop his son's treatment independently?

  • Does Hughes' research have any connection to Kelvin Genetics, who did similar research with recombining animal DNA? (in "Unleashed")

  • Why did Hughes kill himself? Guilt, or to escape punishment if he was working with someone else or using stolen research? Or something else?

  • Why does Peter feel the team needs a cargo transport plane?

  • How did Weiss help Nina? Did he design her cybernetics, or help her in some other way?

  • Nina claims to know what Olivia is going through. Did she undergo similar experimentation as Olivia did?
PLOT HOLES, INCONSISTENCIES OR JUST PLAIN IMPOSSIBLE?
Add unbelievable incidents or sci-fi faux pas to this list!
  • Despite the fact they learned in the previous episode that the opposing side has shapeshifters who have infiltrated society, everyone seems to assume there was only one and that he is dead. Broyles assumes Peter is Peter, Peter asumes Broyles is Broyles, and so on. There is no indication of any enhanced security procedures such as blood testing, use of signs and countersigns, and so on.
  • Why did the Hughes boy suddenly begin his killing spree after 17 years? Either that, or he's been killing 6-7 people in a period of weeks, over and over again for the last few years and no one has noticed.
EPISODE'S BEST QUOTES

  • "Did you check the drawers?
"Nope. Anything I've forgotten, they can keep. I don't want to spend another minute here. I'm, uh, no good at sitting around."
"You're also no good at letting people help you."
"Oh, I'll let you carry my suitcase." - Peter, Olivia

  • "We've been at this for five hours."
    "Science is patience."
"It's also slimy." - Astrid, Walter

  • "Well, we're all victims of our own gene pool. Someone must have peed in yours." - Walter

  • "How's it going, Walter?"
"I plan to urinate in 23 minutes."
    "Good to know."
"I'm telling you because I'm going to need help unzipping my fly. I can't feel my hand." - Peter, Walter

  • "The base solution contains human DNA, male, I think. Of course, it's a mutation. Perhaps a whole new stage of human evolution. Wouldn't that be fantastic?"
"If we've stumbled up a mutant? No. Fantastic's not the first word that pops into my mind."
"We're all mutants. What's more remarkable is how many of us appear to be normal." - Walter, Peter

  • "That was Olivia--Agent Jessup told her Hughes may have killed his wife and child 17 years ago."
"Oh, finally some good news. I assumes we can dig them up. I haven't had any bodies to examine." - Peter, Walter

  • "Dizziness?"
    "No."
    "How's your short-term memory?"
    "Uh, what's your name?"
"Good. You seem to be doing well. You can go ahead and get dressed." - Doctor, Olivia

    OMG! MOMENTS

    • When Olivia almost shot Peter!

    • Scorpion-mole-man grabbing Olivia into his den!
