UNANSWERED QUESTIONS & PLOT DANGLERS

  • Can Bell shift objects spatially as well as between realities? There is no hotel built on the site of the World Trade Center in "our" world.

  • Who called off the investigation into William Bell? Were they simply government officials caving into Nina Sharp, or are "they" part of the conspiracy?

  • Who if anyone is the Observer working for, and why can't he intervene? And why does he foreswear his duty to help Walter and intervene anyway?

  • Will Bell answer the many questions Olivia has for him, as promised by Nina Sharp?

  • Can Olivia return to the main reality?

  • Will Astrid's character do ANYTHING? Why we are held back in seeing the lady in the family portrait (where Peter only dusted off the half with Walter & him in it)?

  • How would the Alternate Reality's Walter react after Peter was stolen from him from this currently reality's Walter (is the 'imaginary Walter", who Walter sees at St. Clair comes from the alternate reality as well?)

  • Since William Bell resides in the alternate reality, could Nina Sharp be his equal in the main one? (Clues being the mechanic arms, her promise to answer any questions directly, as well as BOTH being said "travelling"[Bell]"traveling"[Bell] or "out of the country"[Sharp])

  • What is the significance of Olivia's near-accident as she arrives for her "lunch" with Nina Sharp and Dr. Bell?

PLOT HOLES, INCONSISTENCIES OR JUST PLAIN IMPOSSIBLE?
Add unbelievable incidents or sci-fi faux pas to this list!
  • What beach would Walter be going to near East Douglas and Grafton? Those towns are in the middle of the state!

  • Mr. Jones states he is dying from the effects of his teleportation, a fact reinforced by a similar statement made by Broiles.Broyles. But Walter Bishop was clear in a previous episode:"It doesn''t kill you; it does something unthinkable, but it doesn't kill you."

EPISODE'S BEST QUOTES

  • "What did Jones want from you? What did he do to you in the elevator?"
"He stole a very powerful... energy cell that Dr. Bell hid within my arm."
"What can he do with it?"
"Unfortunately, the question is, what can't he do?" - Olivia, Nina

  • "Has (Walter) been acting strange lately?"
"Walter acting strange. Um... no stranger than usual." - Nina, Astrid

  • "When Belly and I were younger men, we regularly ingested large quantities of LSD."
"You don't say?" - Walter, Peter

  • "Walter, what else aren't you telling me?"
"Lots, I'm sure. But none are related to this." - Peter, Walter

  • "What are you doing here?"
"We're trying to plug a hole in the universe. What are you doing here?" - Olivia, Walter

  • "Where am I? Who are you?"
"The answer to your first question is... it's very complicated. The answer to your second... I'm William Bell." - Olivia, William Bell
