  • What is Peter building in Walter's lab?

  • What is the significance of the title?

EPISODE'S BEST QUOTES

  • "You know what this reminds me of, Peter?"
"Nope, but I'm gonna guess it's something unbelievably disgusting."
"Shrimp cocktail. You see, the shrimp must be deveined by putting a shallow cut down the back to expose the vein. Which in fact, is not a vein at all, but the crustacean's intestinal track."
"Great, thanks for that. Another foodstuff I can cross off the menu for life." - Walter, Peter

  • "Hey, are you okay?"
    "Why?"
"Well, you were awfully quiet on the car ride over here and you just don't seem your normal, chipper self at a bloody, gruesome crime scene."
"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm, umm... it's home stuff."
"Well, I know from home stuff. I live with a guy inspecting a severed spine." - Peter, Olivia

  • "You're suggesting that someone chewed his spine out?"
"Yes. But with a jaw strength well in excess of that of a normal human being."
"Great. Well, maybe we're looking for Dracula."
"Ha ha! Finally, son; you're opening your mind to new possibilities. But no, there are no vampires, sadly. But it'll be something exciting, I'm sure." - Peter, Walter

  • "The killer took the victim's spinal fluid? Why would they would do that?"
"Where would be the fun if we already knew all there is to know?" - Astrid, Walter

  • "Benzyl alcohol. A colorless liquid used as a bacteriostatic in solution for injection, topically as a local anesthetic. Personally, I like to use it as a mouthwash." - Walter

  • "I am forming a hypothesis. Would you care to hear?"
"Well, I don't know. Would I ever be able to sleep at night again?"
    "Well, that depends."
    "Depends on what?"
"On whether the light is on or not." - Walter, Peter

  • "Now you're my kind of guy. What is that?"
"A handheld thermal radiometer. It tells me if you're hot."
    "So..."
"So you're definitely hot. But, I'm looking for someone with syphilis."
"Uh, okay." - Club Girl, Peter

OMG! MOMENTS

  • Shrimp Cocktail + ripped open spine, gross!

  • Vampire lady almost biting into Olivia

  • Dr.Boone's wife screaming uncontrollably after being given the antidote!

  • Peter admitting he's a closet romantic

EPISODE TRIVIA

  • The Observer can be found in the first club scene, passing behind Bob,the first victim a few times. Before he talks to the blonde, and after she and her b/f walk away.

  • The glyphs for this episode spell out "Eight."

Someone needs to post a picture of the 'vampire' with the amazing freaky blue eyes. The intro was well done as we all thought the English man was going to be the killer.

In the beginning of the episode, the tv is on with the news. On the bottom of the screen you see a beam with text stating something about a 'mysterious fire'. Quess what, ep 19 is about people getting on fire just out of nowhere.

I'm very very disappointed with the producers of Fringe - this episode had so many errors! What stands out most is the foto shown to Dr. Boone during interrogation - the 2nd foto is of a victim NOT YET DISCOVERED. The first victim was found indoors (news fotage of body being removed from a building). The final victim was discovered by Peter - yet they had the foto of the victim in the first 15 minutes :( Very sloppy *growls*
