UNANSWERED QUESTIONS & PLOT DANGLERS

  • How were Hicks and Bowman dosed with the designer virus, and by who?

  • Why were Hicks and Bowman targeted for death?

  • Which "side," if any, are Gavin and Conrad working for?

  • What will happen to Hicks now that he is exposed as a deep cover agent for NSA?

  • How did Peter know about the White Horse around Oxford New College? [Did Peter actually go to college? We know he faked MIT credentials]

  • When the creature breaks out of bathroom on plane - it clearly has a lower body. When they recover the body there is no lower body.

  • When the plane is flying over the tree line past the soccer field, it looks as if something jumps from the plane right before impact. Similar effect that was used at the end of Cloverfield.
PLOT HOLES, INCONSISTENCIES OR JUST PLAIN IMPOSSIBLE?
Add unbelievable incidents or sci-fi faux pas to this list!

EPISODE'S BEST QUOTES

  • "The typical number of young in the litter is usually equal to half the number nipples on the animal. The number of nipples being the maximum litter size. Humans, for example, one child is the typical. Maximum, twins. Barring extraordinary cases when the young exceed the number of nipples."
"God, I hope I never have to hear him say the word 'nipple' again." - Walter, Peter

  • "Bishop's House of Horrors." - Peter

  • "Prep Hicks. Ready or not, we're administering the antidote."
"An experiment. How exhilarating." - Olivia, Walter

  • "This is an antidote. While I can't guarantee will actually work, I do have a recorded IQ of..."
    "196."
    "Really?" - Walter, Astrid

  • "You didn't have to come with me, you know."
"Shady deals with shady guys in shady hotels is my MO." - Olivia, Peter

  • "That signal would be ...."
    "'Christmas.'"
"We all look forward to seeing how she works that into the conversation." - Charlie, Olivia
OMG! MOMENTS

  • When Olivia saw John Scott in the lab at MD!

EPISODE TRIVIA

  • The Observer can be seen at the Scarsdale soccer field on the left side of the screen in the opening shot.

  • The plane that crashed is Flight 718. In the previous episode, there is a sign at the autodealership saying "Lease for $718.00 a month."

  • The name of Conrad Etienne Moreau could be a reference to the H.G Wells novel The Island of Dr. Moreau in which Dr. Moreau had experimented on animal human hybrids out of sheer curiousity much like Conrad

How do we think the roles of the creatures and the super soldiers fit into the prophecy set out in ZFT about the coming war between worlds (which points to the biggest fight for survival, only one can survive) will all of earth become a battlefield or the other world with masses of either populations transforming into the creatures, could fringe lead into the most epic scenes ever made for the small screen, a far cry from the first episode were it's business as usual at the FBI for agent Olivia Dunham to full apocalyptic war against the "aliens" in the alternate dimension led by supreme beings Olivia Dunham and Peter Bishop.

Why did Walter glance over at Peter and kinda stumble over hsi words when explaining the nipple to young ratio? Are many viewers and contributors to this page correct in guessing that Peter and/or Walter are one of half (third, fourth,...) of twins (triplets, quads,...).
