As the deaths pile up, the investigation reveals a common thread linking the victims together in an unthinkable manner.

UNANSWERED QUESTIONS & PLOT DANGLERS

  • Was Brian Dempsey connected to one side or the other, or an independent agent?

  • Does Sanford Harris simply have a personal vendetta against Olivia, or is his interference have an ulterior motive?

  • Why was Anton, the dealership's general manager, killed? Presumably he or a loved one antagonized Brian, but no explanation is forthcoming.

PLOT HOLES, INCONSISTENCIES OR JUST PLAIN IMPOSSIBLE?
Add unbelievable incidents or sci-fi faux pas to this list!
  • The day trader in Chicago, Mark Rosenthal, has a computer that is still running after it liquifies his brain, despite the fact it's established earlier the downloaded file wipes the hard drive once it completes its "mission."
EPISODE'S BEST QUOTES

  • "With all due respect, Darwin got it all wrong. I used to make the joke that Darwin's thinking was rather... unevolved."
"Which I'm sure used to be very funny." - Walter, Peter

  • "You know, this is the part of the day that I look forward to the most. When I know there's something bizarre out there, I just don't know what it is. Like a grab bag of disturbing events." - Walter

  • "He can be rotated onto his back now, drain the remainder of his brain. Once that's done, we can examine his cranial cavity."
"Oh, this is gonna be awesome." - Walter, Peter

  • "You're saying that his brain could have been cooked by an STD?"
"Safe sex is important. You do always have your sexual partners wear a condom, I hope?" - Olivia, Walter

  • "Why don't you focus on what you do best? All yours--liquid brains."
"Oh, fantastic. I'll get the bone saw." - Peter, Walter

  • "Do you do birthday parties too?"
"Not so much, no. Though I have done my fair share of babysitting recently." - Rachel, Peter

  • "I tried to expense a couple of Celtic tickets on the FBI--she caught me."
"Oh, I see. I hope she doesn't notice the $2,000 for the baboon seminal fluid I ordered. I hope I can recall why I ordered it." - Peter, Walter
OMG! MOMENTS

  • When Ella almost got brain fried!

  • How the people's face look like when they died.
EPISODE TRIVIA

  • "What's that noise" on the computer screens of the victims. In the previous episode, Olivia and her niece are reading that book on the couch at the end of the episode.

  • The Observer can be seen standing on a street corner as Olivia makes a turn on her way to save Ella.

I would love to hear Walters' take on the exsistence of UFOS. I am sure he will do just that on an upcoming episode.
later,

Ok seriously.

Watching ep12.

This doesn't spoil anything, but they have 2 HDD's they need data off, the platters are BURNT.... FUSED together.....

He plugs just the POWER cable into one of them, yet both work?

His pc boots up..
This is just PART of what it says;

Green AGP / ISA / PCI SYSTEM

PIV2.8 MMX CPU at 3.2kMHTZ
Memory Test: 128000
ZenoFX Multimedia Systems, Inc. (tm) v4.9 PCI SCSI
Firewire SCSI Host Adapter

Seriously........... what the hell.
This is supposed to be a science show in which we're supposed to believe in Fringe science, the stuff they pull off is crap. This has pushed it TOO FAR.

They need someone who knows their stuff to be on set and be like "NO. This is not reality, this is complete crap". This is just one inconsistency I've posted, there are nearly multiple points in every episode where I sit back and go... "no, no, that's not how it happens" and it takes me out of the "show's reality" and makes me THINK that I'm watching a show, where I should believe what these character's are doing.

It's very poor.

Pentium 4 at 3.2kmhtz? What is that?
And Pentium 4 with 128MB of ram to hack 2 hard drives without a data cable?

on a firewire scsi system?

There's more, more computer loading with "beeps" when it's loading.
Also the above BIOS/CMOS data boots in 2 seconds and goes straight into some rogue operating system doing the exact calculations on his other system.

Yet the system wouldn't be able to do so, because it's not reading off the HDD's because the system he plugged it into isn't networked at ALL... therefore there's no way he can be reading the data.

:/

Keep in mine I love the show, no doubt about it, but these things really hurt.
