UNANSWERED QUESTIONS & PLOT DANGLERS
  • Why did Agent Broyles take the silicone bomb?
  • Why did Agent Broyles give the Amber Disc to Nina?
  • If they were questioning the "dead" Agent Scott at MD, then whose body, or what was in the coffin they buried at his funeral
  • What was an undercover DEA agent doing with such an important piece of technology [the amber disc] embedded in her hand?
  • Who was the guy in the diner taking digital photos of Peter all day? Why did he say to Peter "You were supposed to check in before you came home.". Check in with whom?

PLOT HOLES, INCONSISTENCIES OR JUST PLAIN IMPOSSIBLE?
Add unbelievable incidents or sci-fi faux pas to this list!
  • In the opening scenes, the bus being boarded by the unnamed bad guy is operated by "Harbor Transit." All buses operated within metro-Boston (outside of interstate busing providers that use the city as a hub) are owned by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Association (MBTA.)
  • The internment scene during Episode 3, Act 2, takes place at Mt. Briar Cemetery. There is no cemetery in metro-Boston by that name. (Fictitious locations are often used in a show for any number of reasons, including to avoid creating associations with real locations - fans of shows/movies have been known to go to real places mentioned in a show, occasionally causing damage or other issues for the property owners.)

  • After any type of brain surgery, a patient would require several days of rest and little movement to avoid any pressure inside the cranial cavity, not the short time span up and about depicted in Episode 3.

  • The mysterious bad guys have perfected the ghost network for secure communication. Why does Roy pick-up conversations made on a cell-phone/walkie-talkie? Why are they using technology at all if they have a ghost network?

EPISODE'S BEST QUOTES
  • "I wasn't gonna tell you this, but he said he loved me too." - Charlie Francis
  • "You tell anybody else I'm here, you're the first one of the bunch I'm gonna come after." - Peter Bishop
  • "It's horrible - they're like mosquitoes trapped in amber." - Dr. Walter Bishop
  • "Her name is Astrid, and this is the 100th time you've forgotten her name." - Peter
  • "Music helps him process. It works too. As soon as Peter started playing, Walter just kind of locked in." - Astrid Farnsworth
  • "I might suspect that you yourself were somehow responsible." - Nina Sharp to Olivia
  • "Am I required to keep him alive?" - Dr. Bishop / "That would probably be ... best." - Olivia Dunham
  • "It always comes back to the duck." - Dr. Bishop
  • "They say that psych profiles of cops and criminals are identical. Did you ever consider a life of crime?" - Peter
  • "You may also experience some involuntary bowel movement." - Dr. Bishop
  • "I can hear voices!" - Roy McComb
  • "I believe with proper demodulation, you can receive satellite television for free." - Dr. Bishop
  • "Bach? No, that's way too stuffy. What you need is some jazz." - Peter
OMG! MOMENTS
  • OMG! Guess what? During "Ghost Network" filming, Olivia tripped and hit her nose against the desk at Walter's "lab." They had to postpone for her to look normal.

EPISODE TRIVIA
  • The Observer can be seen reflected in the window on the train as Olivia walks down the passageway.

#1LostFan Birmingham Bridge collapse 8 Oct 27 2008, 10:46 PM EDT by MDinmypants
Thread started: Sep 24 2008, 11:09 PM EDT  Watch
When I saw the picture of the bridge collapse, the first thing that came to my mind was the collapse in Minneapolis in 2007. Instead, they said Birmingham Bridge. I did some research, and found the Birmingham Bridge (which is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania). In February 2008, the bridge deck fell a few inches after a support beam slipped. It reopened in March. I also checked the date of the Minneapolis collapse. That occurred 8/1/07. The date on the picture was 9/15/07. I wonder if we will later find out more about this (since the collapse has something to do with "The Pattern"). Perhaps the bridge was attacked by nanobots, which are capable of eating away at metal, destroying any structure it attacks.
