In the final scene, Walter claims to be accidentally speaking numbers out loud while he's trying to sleep. Perhaps it's a code he's reading into Peter's mind, which plays into the untold story of Peter's hinted-at medical history.
The numbers, meanwhile, were: 0 1 1 2 3 8 13 21 34 55 1 2 33 3 77 2 21 6 110

So far, just the slightest inkling of a relationship developing between Olivia and Peter--let's hear what you think... Thumbs up or plain old yuck?

Three bodies in stasis beds (whatelse can you call them) just like John Scott is in. I think they are all the same person, Christopher. Where are these bodies being held? Are they part of the 'grown soldier' project Walter was part of? Who controls them? Is Penrose still involved? Where did he get to, after being winged by Peter?

Between all of this bickering and negativity I almost forgot to post about one of the second episodes most amazing scenes... Broyles, Nina, and a bunch of other suits sitting around some secret order-ish board room. Did anyone remember the name on the wall behind Broyles and perhaps do any Google searching? I'm positively sure there's going to be a real-world tie in here.

So we know that Christopher needed the pituitary glands to stay young here is why
The pituitary gland, or hypophysis, is an endocrine gland about the size of a pea that sits in a small, bony cavity (sella turcica) covered by a dural fold (sellar diaphragm) at the base of the brain. The pituitary fossa, in which the pituitary gland sits, is situated in the sphenoid bone in the middle cranial fossa at the base of the brain. Homeostasis is the property of either an open system or a closed system,[1] especially a living organism, which regulates its internal environment so as to maintain a stable, constant condition The pituitary gland secretes hormones regulating homeostasis, including trophic hormones that stimulate other endocrine glands. It is functionally connected to the hypothalamus by the median eminence. Tropic hormones are hormones that regulate the activity of various other endocrine glands such as Tropic hormones made and secreted by the anterior pituitary include: Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) - stimulates the thyroid gland. Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH or corticotropin) - stimulates the adrenal cortex. Luteinizing hormone (LH) - stimulates the release of steroid hormones in the ovary and testes. Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) - stimulates the maturation of eggs and sperm. That last one really raised my eyebrows! Dude no wonder poor Lorraine Daisy impregnated soooooooo quickly and her poor grandfather baby grew so fast!

...and we *do* know what it's abou; Fringe Science, what are your speculations on what some of the next few episodes will be about. Shouldn't be too hard to figure them out. So far we have:
A self-eradicating flesh-incinerating virus. Drug induced mind linking. Reanimation Hyperactive aging. Optical imaging from a dead person. Psychic connecting. But what do future episodes have in store, in *your* opinion? Marcus Tee

| KidCatalyst | The Frog (Golden Ratio), Apple, Hand, Daisy, Butterfly & Leaf symbols | 3 | Sep 26 2008, 2:15 AM EDT by Rocky29 | ||||

It's probably too early to start analyzing these but I thought I'd throw it out there. Any theories so far on these symbols? So far I' see the frog has the Phi symbol which refers back to the Golden Ratio. The golden ratio is approximately 1.6180339887. Not sure if any of these numbers have been mentioned in any episodes. There are ties to Pythagoras, Fibonacci, Kepler (astronomer) and a physicist Penrose ( a character with this name was mentioned in 2nd epsisode. The other symbols I am still working on. The Apple (fertility) has little human embryos as seeds. The hand has an extra (RING) finger. Have you noticed the title RING is inside of FRINGE. (this is strechting it. i know..LOL). The Daisy (Lorraine Daisy) has an extra petal (insect wing??). The Butterfly has what looks like hand bones that make up the wings and the Leaf has a KEPLER triangle in it.. A lot of genetic manipuation going on with plant and animal life. A lot of meaning.. Any other interpretations out there?

Walter claimed that the muscle relaxer the victim was given would "freeze" what she saw last onto her retina, except she was looking at the bridge before she got stuck with the stuff, she got drugged while sucking face with her attacker.
Of course it's only a sci-fi show and there will be holes, I just wondered if anyone else noticed that

| TheMarkedMouse | Nina Sharp's past | 1 | Sep 22 2008, 3:46 PM EDT by Wondermind | ||||
|
Thread started: Sep 18 2008, 10:17 AM EDT

Nina Sharp, you're on the hotseat now.
In Nina's conversation with Olivia, she starts hinting at her past.... NINA: "I've lost people close to me. I know how hard that can be. Not to mention the rumor about what he was involved with. And of course the joy of being a female in a traditionally male line of work. I mean, no doubt, some of your colleagues are assuming you were ... intimate." Now at first, I thought that when she said "he," she was referring to Agent Scott, as Nina had been to one to bring him up... but in relating Olivia's situation to her own... perhaps Nina was instead hinting at a man from her distant past, a man she was close to, one who was involved in classified work... and that perhaps people had assumed that Nina and the unnamed man were intimate. And perhaps in reality, they were. And she had lost that man to something. Who could the man from her past be? A fringe scientist who was institutionalized for the better part of 2 decades, for instance?

They have a half hour for this dumb crap to improve. I was impressed b the pilot. I thought it had potential, as long as they improved on a few things, but instead it just got worse. I want it to be good- I really really do. But this second episode is so campy and stupid. It is like they are trying so hard- like they came up with the ending and then just put stupid stuff together to fill it all in. I am upset. This is NO X-Files. Not even close. This is second-rate garbage. Olivia has no personality. She's horrid in this episode. What the heck happened? Is it just me? Tonight is faked, forced and ridiculously stupid. The only charming part was the line about ass warming.
If Fringe doesn't get better then Joshua Jackson is wasted in the dumb show.

Am I missing something? Should I know who/what was those were in the three tanks in the last shot from the episode? Was that a reference to Peter's medical history or perhaps there are others being kept alive by penrose?

I found a thread on another Fringe Forum posted by fishbulb15 so they get credit for this, but this is what they found:
In the last shot of the massive dynamic building, there was an arrow sign with the words "video voices" written on it right below the Barclay St. sign. Maybe important or not. Does anyone have a copy on their DVR/PC they can screenshot and post for us?!

Right before Olivia meets with Nina (at the end of the episode) the camera pans on a street sign. Under the street sign is another sign that says "Voces Video" on it. Has anyone been able to figure out what this mean? Is it a clue or just something that got missed in editing?

So, when the team was capturing images off the last victim's eyeball, was there an explanation as to why there wasn't an image of the killer's face hovering over the victim (as opposed to the bridge)? Also, the technology ties back in some way to the first episode where they "interviewed" another dead body, right?

I feel like a dolt considering I missed the pulsing lights in the first episode but on this one, you absolutely couldn't miss them.
Does anyone have any ideas so far as to what could be causing that or what the significance/symbolism of it all means?

I gone over the tape many times, did anyone else notice the "alien" like forms in the background in many of the chase sequences or the one on top of the cargo containers? I think since we are so focused on the action we forget to look around the scene. also look at the reflections on Bishops eyes whenver he is looking at another character the other character has a wierd big eyes round head appearance..... the truth in the lights might have somthing to do with this.....

The show is good, but, they seem to want to make a big thing about it being in the Boston area. They didn't research the pronunciation of town names... dighton has a long I, not really a big deal, but, Stoughton is not on the water and definitely doesn't have a bridge like the one shown. There are plenty of towns that could have been used that would have been more acurate.
Being bothered by this probably means I have too much time on my hands, but, oh well.
