I'm definitely going to have to see it again because there was a lot to take in. The device was a beacon but for what? Certain events in time? Any thoughts?

I enjoy this show very much and made sure to catch the panel with the cast at Comic-Con. When Jasika Nicole referred to the guy in the bag with the worms as her favorite it got me thinking about this episode. I remember watching this and feeling like this did not fit in with all the others. Everything about it seemed off. Pardon but I'm going to geek rant so I apologize in advance to readers.
Maybe the reason the character Peter seemed pissed off was because the creature in this episode was WAY off. A lion/scorpion/viper/bat?!! come on! I love creature flicks and always love to see more but I wish there was a bit more feasibility. Honestly best intentions with this because the show can have better creatures. Truth is stranger then fiction so how about the fiction use the truth in a way more believable way. To solve Walters problem of disease in his Chimera making shenanigans he could go for something a bit more fun. Crocodiles/alligators are as close to impervious as it gets in the animal world. How about an Axel Lottel for some leg regeneration. No snake fangs because they are fragile and would break off, however the strength and crushing power of a reticulated python would be fun. As for a transfer of parasites you could go the infection route with komodo dragon saliva. The Komodo can also reproduce without males. Another thing to play with a symbiotic relationships? that would get you a bag of worms easy on anything the creature touches. As silly as the idea this creature was I must say the creature designer did the best they could with the crazy description so props to you I know how you feel. Come on Fringe be awesome not cheesy. Anyone else wish for more believable critters? |

I think I found something really important about Peter!!
Watch episode 1.04 The Arrival. Get to the part where the guy in the beanie is listening to peters thoughts with the things up his nose. ***Crank up the volume really high and listen to when the beanie guyy asks Peter where the beacon thingy Is**** at that moment you can hear voices very lowly!!! you guys on here aare really smart and probably technologically in inclined so is it possible to hear what the voices are saying? It sounds like a woman, his mother? Him and wallter bicker like there married so maybe Peter is a clone of his mother?

I really just wanted to open up a discussion for those who have been watching. I enjoyed this last episode very much. It was good. I plan to keep on watching. It's finally peaked my interest. Regarding Observer, can't wait to see what he's all about. He definitely brought a new element to the story. Is he some kind of Alien, maybe an Angel or his he a Clone? What was that language he was writing in? I also loved how the writers had to come up with a reason for Peter to stay. The whole mind reading thing blew me away. And the wires up the nose to read thoughts made me think of mummification. Too weird!! Glad to see Olivia's assistant, Arid??? getting more time. Loved how Walter had to drug her out. She's a memorable character. And I thought Walter's place to hide the maching was fantastic... Keep up the clever creativity!

In the first episode while Walter is telling Peter not to send him back to St. Clair's he says "I have been woken up, I can't go back to sleep now..." If i remember correctly waking someone up is what Olivias test partner said when he was speaking with her. I may be wrong with this info and if I am please correct me. Sorry it's so late but I just re watched the first episode.

Three bodies in stasis beds (whatelse can you call them) just like John Scott is in. I think they are all the same person, Christopher. Where are these bodies being held? Are they part of the 'grown soldier' project Walter was part of? Who controls them? Is Penrose still involved? Where did he get to, after being winged by Peter?

Wow what an episode. I thought the part with the eye was so cool!! I'm liking the friendship between Paul and Olivia. I noticed the slight touch of the hand when they were sitting on the bench. If it's like a Mulder and Scully relationship, hopefully there is more of that and eventually they end up together. Of course that's my mind goin way into the future. I can't wait for episode 3.

I watched Episode 14 again and I am not so certain it was Olivia that put the lights out. Could it have been Peter or maybe he helped her without knowing it?
Any thoughts? Hope this isnt a duplicate. Icarus99

Taken from Movie Web.com
It seems that J.J. Abrams is reaching into the world of his new film for his new TV series for an important guest-starring role. Entertainment Weekly's Ausiello Files is reporting that Abrams is nearing a deal that would bring Leonard Nimoy to his new series Fringe. The actor worked with Abrams on his Star Trek reboot and it was said that Abrams is close to bringing on Nimoy for the pivotal role of William Bell on Fringe, the mysterious founder of Massive Dynamics and a former partner of William Bishop (John Noble). It was said that the character would debut on the season finale and return for another arc in the second season. While the deal hasn't been officially signed, an insider said that, "everyone's optimistic" about Nimoy's involvement. What do you think???
